DAY 01: ARRIVAL AT JAIPUR
Arrive at Jaipur airport and transfer to Hotel. Over night at hotel. Jaipur is the city which has the ‘tone of the autumn sunset’. Visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) an elaborate building encrusted with delicate honeycomb screens and carved balconies from which the royal ladies, confined to their quarters, could view the world outside. Jai Singh”s Observatory built in the 17th century by the founder of Jaipur who, besides being a prince was also soldier, astronomer and builder. City Palace now a museum contains fine Rajput and Moghul paintings, rare manuscripts and an armoury.
DAY 02: IN JAIPUR
Morning excursion to Amber Fort. Make your ascent to the Palace Fortress on the gaily caparisoned elephant back, tour the chambers and hallways of the palace which are famous for the excellence of their design and decoration. Afternoon tour of Jaipur (known as "THE PINK CITY OF RAJASTHAN"). Visit the unique Jantar Mantar, Observatory (which was built in the 1700's and yet even today it still looks futuristic or almost surrealistic), the City palace and its museum, the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds.
DAY 03: JAIPUR - BIKANER (325 Kms/5HRS)
After breakfast morning drive to Bikaner arrive and check in at Hotel . After noon visit Junagarh fort, Museum and camel breeding farm. Over night at hotel.
DAY 04: BIKANER - JAISALMER (320 Kms/5HRS)
After breakfast, morning drive to Jaisalmer for one night at Hotel. Late Afternoon drive to Sam sand dunes (45 k.m.) to watch the sun set over the dunes which turns a deep golden colour as the sun sinks. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 05 JAISALMER -
Morning city sightseeing of Jaisal Fort, built in 1156 AD by Rawal Jaisal. It crowns the 80 Mtr. High Trikuta hill. About a fourth of the old city”s population resides within the walled fort. The havelis or the town mansions are particularly celebrated for their architecture. Best known havelis are Patwon ki haveli for its magnificent latticework, Salim Singh ki Haveli, which is as old as 300 years and is still lived in. it has beautiful arched roof with carved brackets in the form of peacocks
Afternoon excursion to Sam Sand Dunes to see sun set over the desert. Enjoy a camel ride on the sand dunes.
DAY 06: JAISALMER - JODHPUR (315 Kms/6HRS)
After breakfast visit Jaislmer fort and the havelies. Afternoon drive to Jodhpur. Arrive and check in at hotel Ratanada Polo Palace. Over night at hotel.
Day 07: JODHPUR - UDAIPUR. (274 Kms/6 HRS)
Stay overnight at Shikarbadi Hotel, a heritage property on the outskirts and the erstwhile hunting lodge of the royal family.
Day 08: UDAIPUR LOCAL HALF-DAY CITY TOUR
Morning sight seeing tour of Udaipur stopping first at City Palace, where you will marvel at forms with mirrored walls & ivory doors, colored glass window and inlaid marble balconies, and the peacock courtyard. Also visit the lovely Sahelion ki Bari Gardens, the Jagdish Temple and the local folk music.
Afternoon motor launch cruise (optional) on the placid waters of Lake Pichola. From the Boat you will be able to view the City of Udaipur. As it rises majestically above the lake in the middle of the Rajasthan Desert. Also visit the Jag Mandir Palace - the other lovely Island Palace in the middle of the lake. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 09: HALF DAY TOUR OF EKLINGJI AND NAGDA
Eklingji: 22 kms from Udaipur, built in 734 AD. This complex of 108 temples enclosed by high walls is devoted to Eklingji, the deity of the Maharanas of Mewar. Nagda, an ancient place in Mewar, was the first capital of Bappa Rawal and has a magnificent torana exquisitely carved with graceful apsaras. The 10th Century Sas Bahu temples here are resplendent here in their intricate carvings.
Overnight at hotel
Day 10: FLY TO HOME.
Transfer from the hotel to airport in time to connect flight to Home.
